Wilmington business community
Useful connections.
Shared responsibility.
These guidelines help keep business pages, public posts, and private conversations useful for everyone.
Represent your business honestly.
Create a page only for a business or organization you own or are authorized to represent. Keep names, services, locations, and contact information accurate. One account can manage one business page at launch.
Email verification confirms access to an email address. It does not verify licensing, insurance, qualifications, or the quality of services. Check those details directly before hiring or making an agreement.
Keep conversations relevant.
Use messaging for introductions, questions, collaboration, and other relevant business conversations. Respect a member’s decision not to respond. Do not send repeated unsolicited promotions, deceptive offers, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content.
Share information you can stand behind.
Post questions, opportunities, events, and updates that are useful to local businesses. Identify the original source for information you share and confirm dates and eligibility requirements. Do not copy articles or materials you do not have permission to publish.
Choose what you make public.
Published business pages and community posts are public. Contact email and phone fields are optional. Leave them blank if you prefer member messaging. Keep passwords, payment details, customer records, and other sensitive information out of posts and messages.
Private conversations are accessible to their participants through the platform. Messages are stored to provide the service; they are not end-to-end encrypted. Reported content may be reviewed by the operator. See our privacy information.
Use the controls when something is wrong.
Use Report on a business page, community post, or message to flag a concern. Block a member to stop messages in both directions while retaining the existing conversation. Reports are reviewed as available; an immediate response is not promised.
We may hide listings or posts and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. For account access, deletion requests, or a review of a moderation decision, contact help@wilmingtongeeks.com.
Make your own business decisions.
The community helps people find each other and exchange information. Listings, posts, and links are not endorsements. Agreements and payments happen directly between the parties involved.
